SDA Vacations Travel Industry Code of Conduct Policy

As a condition of participation in SDA Vacations land and cruise programs, we respectfully request that all travel advisors and their companions adhere to our Travel Industry Code of Conduct. While this policy is not exhaustive, it is intended to provide clear guidance to ensure a respectful, enjoyable, and safe experience for all guests, including those affiliated with the travel industry.

Prohibited Conduct

Throughout the duration of the SDA Vacations land and cruise package, travel advisors and their guests are expected to refrain from the following behaviors:

1. Disruptive or Inappropriate Behavior Including, but not limited to: excessive alcohol consumption, loud or offensive language, verbal or physical mistreatment of SDA Vacations personnel (Cruise Manager, Captain, crew, or hotel staff), other guests, or disregard for safety instructions. Such behavior will be evaluated at the discretion of SDA Vacations.

2. Engagement in Illegal Activities This includes, but is not limited to: use of false identification, theft, vandalism, possession or use of illegal substances, and providing alcohol to minors.

3. Unauthorized Business Promotion or Solicitation Travel advisors may not promote their own services, solicit business, or endorse other cruise lines to fellow guests. Professional dialogue with other travel advisors onboard is permitted.

4. Requests for Preferential Treatment Travel advisors and their guests may not demand complimentary stateroom upgrades, special privileges, or exceptional services beyond those provided to all guests.Q: What are the Cruise dates?

5. Non-Payment of Onboard Personal Expenses Travel advisors and their guests are expected to settle all personal onboard charges, including but not limited to: bar tabs, laundry services, spa treatments (massage, hair salon), gratuities, and transfer fees.

6. Excursion Cancellation Policy Guests may cancel any excursions, including Pre- and Post-Cruise activities, up to 91 days prior to the scheduled start date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 90 days of the scheduled excursion are non-refundable.

7. Luggage Allowance Each guest is permitted one large suitcase and one carry-on item for Pre- and Post-Cruise excursions. Additional luggage beyond this allowance will incur a fee of $50 per extra bag.

8. Privacy Policy SDA Vacations is committed to protecting your personal information. Submitted data will be used solely for its intended purpose and will not be shared with external vendors or used for marketing. 9. Indemnification Clause:

The Participant understands and agrees that attendance and participation are voluntary and undertaken at the Participant’s own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant hereby releases, waives, and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify SDAVACATIONS, including its officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, or expenses, including those arising from:

A. Illness, infection, or medical conditions (including but not limited to exposure to viruses, communicable diseases, or health-related incidents) arising before, during, or after participation in the event or activity;

B. Loss, theft, or damage of personal property while on site or participating in any related activity;

C. Injury or accident occurring on the premises or during associated travel.The Participant assumes full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

The Participant further agrees to reimburse and defend SDAVACATIONS against any claim, judgment, or expense, including legal fees, resulting from participation in the event or activity.  

D. Itinerary Changes:

The Client acknowledges and understands that airline schedules, flight times, and routes are determined solely by the airline and are subject to change without notice. SDAVACATIONS has no control over airline operations, delays, cancellations, re-routing, or schedule modifications.

In the event that any airline itinerary change—whether due to mechanical issues, staffing, weather, operational decisions, or other circumstances—results in a missed cruise departure, missed connection, or unused travel services, SDAVACATIONS shall not be held liable or financially responsible for any loss, penalty, additional expense, missed trip, or unused portion of travel.

The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SDAVACATIONS, including its employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates, from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or legal actions arising from such airline-related disruptions. This includes, without limitation:

A. Missed cruise or tour departures
B. Loss of prepaid travel services or reservations
C. Expenses related to rebooking, lodging, meals, or transportation
D. Claims for refunds or compensation related to airline decisions
E. After being notified by SDAVACATIONS of changes in departure times to tours, planned activities, sites, or any destinations, SDAVACATIONS will not be liable for any expenses connected to tours, planned activities, sites, or any destinations.

The Client assumes full responsibility for any risk associated with airline changes and is encouraged to consider travel insurance to help cover unforeseen disruptions.

Travel Advisory Agreement

10. By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms and policies outlined in this document, including the SDA Vacations Travel Industry Code of Conduct.

11. I certify that all information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that failure to provide accurate or complete information may result in delays or denial of processing.

12. I acknowledge my responsibility to uphold the standards set forth by SDA Vacations and agree to conduct myself in a manner that reflects professionalism, respect, and integrity throughout the duration of the travel experience.
